To meet the urgent need for more affordable housing in our state, Crossroads has launched Roads to Home, our most ambitious development project to date. Thanks to public funding and a $15 million private philanthropy campaign, we will create/redevelop nearly 300 permanent supportive apartments in Providence.

Projected to be completed by 2026, Roads to Home has three interconnected priorities: 371 Pine Street, 94 Summer Street and 160 Broad Street.

An innovative health & housing apartment building for medically vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness

35 permanent, supportive apartments with accessibility features
Communal spaces, healing garden, laundry and parking
Co-located space for health and/or mental health providers
24/7 supportive staffing and case management

94 Summer Street

176 new and affordable permanent supportive apartments for formerly homeless adults

Net zero building using only solar and wind energy
Office space for onsite supportive services
Outdoor green space for residents to enjoy
Community gathering space on every floor
Easy access to healthcare, public transportation and employment

Broad Street Reimagined

82 redeveloped permanent supportive apartments and much needed maintenance and improvements to our building at 160 Broad Street

Pedestrian-level lighting and improvements to sidewalks
New courtyard for day clients
Separate entrances for residents and day clients
Cleaning, repointing brick
Canopy for Women’s Shelter courtyard
Building-mounted lighting
