Crossroads Rhode Island breaks ground on 176 permanent supportive apartments for formerly homeless adults on Summer Street in Providence.

On October 6th, 2023, Crossroads Rhode Island held a ceremonial groundbreaking alongside elected, appointed, and housing leaders to mark the start of construction at 94 Summer Street.
94 Summer Street will provide new and improved housing to current residents of Crossroads' Tower apartments, expanding their single-occupancy rooms to fully-furnished, one-bedroom apartments. Future residents will also have access to ongoing case management and other supportive services to help them maintain their housing, as well as common space on every floor to help promote community.
94 Summer Street is, in my opinion, the most impactful, affordable, and supportive housing development underway in Rhode Island.

Expected to be completed in 2025, each apartment at 94 Summer Street will feature a private bath, kitchen, and living area, as well as accessibility and usability features for individuals with a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities.
