Site Work Begins on our Health & Housing Apartments

We are excited to announce the next major milestone in Crossroads’ ambitious housing vision: the development of our innovative Health and Housing Apartments!

In fact, site work is already underway. Jersey barriers and safety fencing have been installed—and in the coming weeks we will remove an obsolete building currently on the site.

When complete in late 2026, this first of its kind in Rhode Island development will feature 35 fully accessible apartments and respite beds, a healing garden and co-located space for health and mental health providers.

All too often, chronically homeless patients who are well enough for discharge end up staying in an expensive hospital bed because they don’t have a home to go to.

Crossroads health and housing apartments are the solution, providing medically vulnerable adults with a safe and more cost-effective place to recover and receive follow up care.
