August 06, 2019

This July, Crossroads attended and presented at the 2019 National Conference on Ending Homelessness and Capitol Hill Day.

Hosted by the National Alliance to End Homelessness, the conference brings together service providers, leaders, advocates and consumers from across the nation who are working to end homelessness in the United States. This year's conference covered a variety of topics, including families and youth experiencing homelessness, updated content on chronic homelessness, veterans, single adults and other populations.

At the conference, Crossroads' Vice President of Family Services Cicely Dove presented and sat on two panels, sharing her findings and expertise on shifting families from rental assistance to self-sufficiency and meeting the unique housing needs of domestic violence survivors with peer organizations from around the U.S. To read more about Cicely's sessions, click here.

Additionally, Crossroads joined Foster Forward, Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless and The WARM Center to meet with Senator Reed during Capitol Hill Day. Together, they spoke about the critical need for resources that will benefit Rhode Islanders experiencing homelessness.
