The Container Store debuted its 66^th store opening in Cranston (Garden City Center) on Saturday, May 17^th. As part of the retailer’s commitment to its local communities, The Container Store donated a percentage of its Grand Opening weekend sales to Crossroads Rhode Island, making a contribution totaling $16,000. 

With support from the Citizens Bank Financial Education Grant and the Brown University PEPS grant, Crossroads Rhode Island's Education and Employment program held a Financial Literacy Resource Fair. 

Amica $75,000 Community Challenge begins Tuesday, Feb. 4

PROVIDENCE – Amica Insurance is once again teaming up with Crossroads Rhode Island, United Way of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Community Food Bank for the Amica $75,000 Community Challenge. The charity event kicked off Tuesday, February 4, with a press conference at United Way.

The Container Store, the nation's originator and leading retailer of storage and organization products, is coming to Rhode Island! The Container Store will celebrate its Grand Opening Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 17 & 18.

This morning Crossroads Rhode Island held a press conference to unveil the 5 new housing units at the Harold Lewis House and to release our Report on Aging and Homelessness.

Crossroads Rhode Island President Anne Nolan will be received an honorary degree on May 18th, 2014 at the University of Rhode Island's 128th commencement exercises! Anne, along with three other distinguished leaders, received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.

Margaret came to Crossroads in April 2007 at the age of 47. She told us that she was seeking shelter and safety after leaving her abusive partner. During her first year at Crossroads, we did not yet have a dedicated Women’s Shelter, so she slept on the floor of our Community Room. When the Women’s Shelter opened in April 2008, Margaret finally had a bed, but it would be another five years until she had a home of her own.

As the Autumn air gets colder Crossroads is noticing a rise in the number of homeless individuals looking for shelter. 

With the opening of 5 new units at the Harold Lewis House and the release of the Aging and Homelessness Report, Crossroads Rhode Island has recently been featured in various news media outlets.
