In an effort to assist families in locating housing, Crossroads has partnered with the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless, The Providence Housing Authority and the Rhode Island Continuum of Care to launch the 38 in 100 Family Housing Challenge.

This collaborative effort is designed to help 38 families experiencing homelessness find housing before their housing vouchers expire at the end of the year.

"Housing vouchers are like gold for high-need families experiencing homelessness," said Crossroads President & CEO Karen Santilli during August's press conference. "The voucher can be used to pay for rent anywhere in the state, but if these families can't find a place to live in the next 100 days, they will lose their vouchers. We urge local landlords with available apartments to contact the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless and help these families find a place to call home."
