How to Help

Setting up a gift annuity is a good way to give to a worthy cause in the manner you choose, as well as earn a tax deduction. But how do you begin? Pete Olsen, Esq., a member of our board of directors, wants to help. Read Pete's article to learn about gift planning, and check back often for more suggestions from Pete.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES NEEDED!
You can help Crossroads Rhode Island make this a great school year for children who can’t afford basic school supplies like pens, pencils and notebooks.
We are collecting the following items for children and families in need:
  • Backpacks
  • School supplies (pens, pencils, notebooks)
  • Retail gift cards to discount stores (e.g., Target, Wal-Mart, CVS, Brooks, etc.)
  • Supermarket gift cards
  • Children’s personal care items (soap, shampoo, toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)
  • New underwear & socks for boys and girls
  • RIPTIKs/bus transportation passes
Donations can be brought or sent to Crossroads Rhode Island, 160 Broad Street, Providence, RI, 02903. For more information, please contact Sara Perry at 401-277-4325.

MAKE A DONATION
Crossroads knows how to end homelessness. It is a problem with a solution, and you can be part of that solution by donating now. But there are many ways your donation will help Crossroads.

We’d like to express our thanks to WPRI 12/Fox Providence for making our school supply need part of their on-air Community Calendar.
