Education & Employment Assistance

Education and employment assistance programs are a vital element within the Crossroads’ continuum of care that helps homeless people transition from dependency to independence. Because we serve the most vulnerable families and adults with multiple barriers to employment, we have developed extensive knowledge and expertise to help those who have the greatest difficulties accessing mainstream job training and employment programs. Our Vocational Services programs model the continuum of care employed agency-wide, which allows  education and employment participants the flexibility to enter the continuum through any of the core Vocational Services program.

Personalized learning plans help our Learning Center students be successful.

All our adult education support is available in a safe, client-centered learning environment and tailored to the level of need of the individual. Crossroads Rhode Island provides many opportunities for men and women:

• Certified Nursing Assistant Training
• Animal Caretaker Training
• Pre-employment (also known as "Get hired!")
• Family Literacy
• Adult education and GED preparation
