Mental Health Navigator

 Crossroads Rhode Island practices the nationally recognized and proven Housing First approach to solving homelessness. Housing First is simple: provide housing first, and then combine that housing with supportive services.  We are currently looking for a Mental Health Navigator to join our incredible team! 

This individual works collaboratively with direct service staff to connect homeless clients who have mental health disorders to appropriate mental health services in the community.  They will provide mental health screening and assessment as well as crisis intervention services as needed.  Master’s Degree in Social Work or closely related field and clinical licensure required as is a minimum of 3 years clinical case management experience.

Accounting Clerk

Are you looking for a full-time job in which you can make a positive impact on homeless families in Rhode Island?  Well, Crossroads RI might be looking for you!

Crossroads, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Finance team!  The successful candidate must have experience with accounts payable and receivable tasks and should be confident using computer accounting software, Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheets as he /she will maintain Excel spreadsheets for various accounts.  Will also perform general office duties and help support the finance department.

 High School Diploma and minimum of one (1) year experience in an office environment, preferably accounting required.

Shelter Assistants - Families

 Crossroads Rhode Island is searching for two full-time Shelter Assistants to help us in our Family Shelters. We’re looking for people who believe in transforming lives to their fullest potential, people who exude positivity and have a passion for creatively solving complicated issues. The successful candidates will have a degree in human services and/or experience working with a disconnected population in a shelter or group home environment.

Multiple positions available:

Warwick (Full-time) - Mon-Fri 4 pm to midnight

Providence (Part-time) - Sat&Sun 8 am to 4 pm, Sat&Sun 11 am to 7 pm

Case Advocate - Families

Crossroads Rhode Island, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking a positive, dynamic, case advocate to join our team at the Family Center!

The successful candidate will believe in transforming lives to their fullest potential and have a passion for creatively solving complicated issues. She/he will assess housing support needs of those families unable to house themselves, encourage self-sufficiency and connections to other appropriate community resources. We’re looking for those special individuals who have experience working with a disconnected population.

Safety Officer

 

Crossroads Rhode Island is a national leader in working to end homelessness- and we are looking for a Safety Officer to join our team! 

The successful candidate will provide security coverage and ensure a safe environment for all staff, clients, interns, volunteers and agency guests. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.  Prior experience writing detailed incident and/or accident reports.  Experience with diverse communities.  Degree in Criminal Justice, Fire Science or related field desired.  Law Enforcement, Firefighter or Military experience desired. Bi-lingual English/Spanish desired.

Engagement and Crisis Intervention Specialist

 Do you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field?  How about experience working with disempowered and oppressed populations?   Do you want to make a positive impact on homeless individuals and families in Rhode Island?   

Well, Crossroads Rhode Island might be looking for you!  As the largest homeless services organization in the state, Crossroads Rhode Island understands that stable housing is both the only way to end homelessness and the most cost effective intervention.  We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our team as an Engagement and Crisis Intervention Specialists.    The successful candidates will engage with clients in Community Room and Front Lobby of our building on Broad Street in Providence in order to build rapport and assess immediate needs. They will refer clients for services  either through Crossroads programs or from other providers as appropriate.  They will  provide  guidance and direction to Front Desk Reception staff and Safety Officers on shift to offer a welcoming and trauma-informed environment, and to ensure that services are provided in accordance with Crossroads’ values  of Safety, Respect and Effectiveness.

Janitor

 Crossroads Rhode Island, the largest provider of services to the homeless in the state, is looking for a Janitor to join our team.

The successful candidate will commit to the tasks assigned which include keeping all areas of the facility clean, vacuum, sweep, strip, wash, and finish floors, remove trash, and clean restrooms. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, as well as one year cleaning and/or maintenance experience.

Maintenance Tech 1

 Crossroads Rhode Island, the largest provider of services to the homeless in the state, is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician II to join our team! 

The successful candidate will have experience working with a diverse population as well as basic knowledge in electrical, painting, plumbing and carpentry.  We’re looking for that unique individual who can inspire and motivate others on the team as well as work effectively on their own.  We need an individual who can commit to the tasks assigned and achieve results in an environment where priorities change quickly.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, one to three years maintenance experience required. This is a full time position on the first shift.

Grants Financial Specialist

Crossroads, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Finance team in the role of Grants Financial Specialist!  The successful candidate must have experience with grants oversight as they will be responsible for post-award accounting, monitoring , reporting  and compliance associated with grants, contracts, and other sponsored activity.    The successful candidate will be working with staff at every level of the organization  as well as sponsoring agencies to ensure completion of the job!  Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting as well as 2-4 years relevant experience required.

Outreach Workers

 You already know that Crossroads Rhode Island is  an organization solving homelessness by practicing evidence-based methods to secure stable home for individuals and families, but did you know we have an active street outreach team that identifies, monitors and educates homeless individuals about the programs available to them?  And we’re looking for 2 new Street Outreach workers to join our team!

As a part of the Outreach Team you will identify homeless individuals in the community who are unsheltered and in need of services.   You’ll develop helping relationships with the goal of engaging homeless individuals in services, including shelter and housing, benefits and entitlements, medical and mental health care, and other services.  The successful candidates will have had experience working with a disconnected population and understand the importance of maintaining boundaries and confidentiality.  Come and join one of the most dynamic and forward-thinking organizations in the state!

Shelter Based Case Manager

Are you looking for a job in which you can make a positive impact on homeless women in Rhode Island?  Well, Crossroads RI might be looking for you!

Crossroads, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team as a Shelter Based Case Manager!  The successful candidate will conduct intake assessments with new service users and may divert to natural supports prior to receiving case management services.    If needed, this individual would provide a “warm transfer” of the clients to a housing based case manager, outlining all information gleaned through the intake assessment.      Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or certification in Case Management and 2 years’ experience required.  Great benefits and awesome co-workers.

Reception Staff, Front Desk

Are you looking to  make a positive impact on homeless individuals in Rhode Island?    Well, Crossroads Rhode Island might be looking for you!

Crossroads, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Front Desk Reception Team!    The successful candidate will be responsible for  maintaining a welcoming  environment to Crossroads, helping service users access basic needs, navigate programs within Crossroads, connect clients to case advocate resources, and diverting people back to other supports when appropriate and safe to do so.     Exceptional customer service skills and a minimum of 2 years in human services or related position required. Bilingual in English / Spanish helpful.
