Senior Grant Writer

Are you looking for a job in which you can make a positive impact on homeless families in Rhode Island?  Well, Crossroads RI might be looking for you!

Crossroads, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team in the role of Senior Grant Writer!  The successful candidate will develop and manage our grants portfolio as well as research and evaluate new grant opportunities.  Bachelor’s degree as well as a minimum of 4 years relevant experience required. 

The only lasting solution to homelessness is permanent housing.  Come and join the team that practices the nationally recognized and proven Housing First approach and is making a difference in Rhode Island!

Shelter Advocate - Domestic Violence Program

 Crossroads Rhode Island, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking a dynamic, forward thinking individual to join our team in the role of Shelter Advocate. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing trauma-informed services to survivors of domestic abuse. This will include support, advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning, parenting support, information, and referrals.  Bachelor’s degree or certification or licensure in a Social Services /Human Services field, as well as experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, trauma, and related issues. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

This is a part-time position - Tues & Wed 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Response Tech - Lead

Crossroads Rhode Island, the largest provider of services to the homeless in the state, is looking for an experienced Lead Response Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be able to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems, as well as provide hands-on experience and coaching to the facilities staff. We’re looking for that unique individual who can inspire and motivate others on the team as well as work effectively on their own. This person needs to have intermediate knowledge of electrical, painting, plumbing,  and carpentry. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical or building trad education or equivalent. Also three years’ experience in maintenance. This is a full time position Monday – Friday. Family Center Program Manager

Crossroads, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Family Shelter team!  The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of quality services through clear procedures and guidelines.   Responsible for training and supervising staff at our Family Shelter which currently houses approximately 15 families.   He/She will ensure the facility continues to meet quality standards, remains in compliance with regulatory policies, and that all necessary documentation is being completed.  We’re looking for that special individual who has experience working with a disconnected population, has a proven track record as an effective motivator and supervisor, who fosters team work, and creates an environment where a vulnerable population feels safe. Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and supervisory experience are a must.  We offer a strong benefits package and the best coworkers you’ll ever find.


Housing Associate

We are searching for a unique individual to fill the role of Housing Associate.  The successful candidate will provide support to all residents within the assigned building.  They will advocate for and connect tenants to services that will enhance their housing stability.    Minimum high school diploma or GED, experience working with a disconnected population, and outstanding customer service skills required.

Janitor

 Crossroads Rhode Island, the largest provider of services to the homeless in the state, is looking for a Janitor to join our team.

The successful candidate will commit to the tasks assigned which include keeping all areas of the facility clean, vacuum, sweep, strip, wash, and finish floors, remove trash, and clean restrooms. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, as well as one year cleaning and/or maintenance experience.

Full-time: Mon - Fri 7 am to 3 pm

Shelter Assistants - Families

 Crossroads Rhode Island is searching for a Shelter Assistant to help us in our Providence Family Shelter. 

We’re looking for an individual who believes in transforming lives to their fullest potential, a person who exudes positivity and has a passion for creatively solving complicated issues. The successful candidate will have a degree in human services and/or experience working with a disconnected population in a shelter or group home environment.

Part-time: Saturday and Sunday 8 am to 4 pm.

Reception Staff, Front Desk

Are you looking to  make a positive impact on homeless individuals in Rhode Island?    Well, Crossroads Rhode Island might be looking for you!

Crossroads, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Front Desk Reception Team!    The successful candidate will be responsible for  maintaining a welcoming  environment to Crossroads, helping service users access basic needs, navigate programs within Crossroads, connect clients to case advocate resources, and diverting people back to other supports when appropriate and safe to do so.     Exceptional customer service skills and a minimum of 2 years in human services or related position required. Bilingual in English / Spanish helpful.
