Chief Philanthropy Officer

Crossroads Rhode Island, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking a dynamic and forward thinking individual to join our Leadership Team in the role of Chief Philanthropy Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies that will raise revenue for and increase awareness of our incredible programs and services in Rhode Island. We're looking for that special visionary with a deep understanding of and experience with traditional and innovative marketing strategies who has experience, not only with staff management, but also a deep respect for the needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Web Marketing and Content Manager

Are you interested in being part of an organization striving to make homelessness a thing of the past? If so, we might be looking for you! Crossroads Rhode Island, the largest provider of services to the homeless in the state, is searching for a Web Marketing and Content Manager to join our team!

The successful candidate will support the marketing and development team goals by managing web-based marketing, social media, online fundraising activities and integrate marketing materials. Requirements include: Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communication, or related field, 3-5 years experience in non-profit office; preferably at least 3 years in a Development Team, expertise in Raiser's Edge, Microsoft Office, and web content management software.

Maintenance Technician 2

Crossroads Rhode Island, the largest provider of services to the homeless in the state, is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician II to join our team in North Kingstown! 

The successful candidate will have experience working with a diverse population as well as intermediate proficiency in electrical, painting, plumbing and carpentry.  We’re looking for that unique individual who can inspire and motivate others on the team as well as work effectively on their own. This person needs to have ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and while providing superior customer service to our clients and staff.  We need an individual who can commit to the tasks assigned and achieve results in an environment where priorities change quickly. Technical or building trade education, three to five years maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license required. This is a full time position on the first shift.

The Maintenance Technician II must have effective verbal and written communication skills and will be expected to complete work orders assigned.

Electrical Knowledge:  Distribution; Use of testing equipment; Lighting ballasts; Switches and receptacles; G.F.C.I.’s testing;  Smoke and CO detectors – testing and replacement; Emergency lighting (Batteries) – testing and replacement.

Plumbing Knowledge:  Basic boiler knowledge; Repair leaks; Replace faucets; Replace gaskets and seals; Sweat copper pipes; PVC; Diagnose heating and cooling problems; Clear traps and drains.

Carpentry Knowledge:  Install and remove sheetrock; Tape and compound sheetrock; Replace interior and exterior doors; Repair windows; Repair flooring.

Tools knowledge:  Skill saw, Circular saw, Drills, Cutoff saw, Reciprocating saw, Ladders, Bench grinder, Hand tools

Physical requirements:  Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, etc. Ability to work in an environment in which the job is performed, such as working in hot, cold, dusty, etc. conditions.  Must wear approved safety shoes that conform to American Safety Standards.

Maintenance Technician 2 [PDF]

Director of Housing Based Case Management

 Crossroads Rhode Island, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking a dynamic, forward thinking individual to join our team as the Director of Housing Based Case Management.   

The successful candidate will manage the Housing First and Rapid Rehousing case management teams and ensure there is fidelity to the model and standardized practices to maximize the effectiveness of Crossroads programs and resources to best meet the needs of service users. She/he will ensure agency compliance to grant requirements for social services programs.  We’re looking for that special individual who has experience not only working with a disconnected population but also has experience in managing / supervising staff for a minimum of 2 years in a social service program.   Must have a proven track record as an effective motivator.  Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field expected, Masters preferred.

Case Manager - Warwick Family Shelter

 Crossroads Rhode Island, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking a positive, dynamic, case manager to join our team at the Warwick Family Shelter! 

The successful candidate will believe in transforming lives to their fullest potential and have a passion for creatively solving complicated issues.    She/he will provide comprehensive case management to homeless clients including assessment, case planning and evaluation of services.      We’re looking for that special individual who has experience working with a disconnected population and has a proven track record as  an effective case manager.  Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, or certification in Case Management required as is experience in the field.

Reception Staff, Front Desk

Engagement and Crisis Intervention Specialist

Well, Crossroads Rhode Island might be looking for you!  As the largest homeless services organization in the state, Crossroads Rhode Island understands that stable housing is both the only way to end homelessness and the most cost effective intervention.  We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our team as an Engagement and Crisis Intervention Specialists.    The successful candidates will engage with clients in Community Room and Front Lobby of our building on Broad Street in Providence in order to build rapport and assess immediate needs. They will refer clients for services  either through Crossroads programs or from other providers as appropriate.  They will  provide  guidance and direction to Front Desk Reception staff and Safety Officers on shift to offer a welcoming and trauma-informed environment, and to ensure that services are provided in accordance with Crossroads’ values  of Safety, Respect and Effectiveness.

Shelter Based Case Manager

Are you looking for a job in which you can make a positive impact on homeless women in Rhode Island?  Well, Crossroads RI might be looking for you!

Crossroads, the largest homeless services organization in the state, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team as a Shelter Based Case Manager!  The successful candidate will conduct intake assessments with new service users and may divert to natural supports prior to receiving case management services.    If needed, this individual would provide a “warm transfer” of the clients to a housing based case manager, outlining all information gleaned through the intake assessment.      Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or certification in Case Management and 2 years’ experience required.  Great benefits and awesome co-workers.

Full-time: Tuesday - Friday 10 am to 6 pm, Saturday 7 am to 3 pm
